Does your company have manufacturing or shop-floor operations? Discover the program focused on production stability.
The Services cohort of the Practical Lean Training Program (PPFL) is an intensive program focused on operational efficiency, better customer experience and strategic vision for transactional environments. The program goes beyond basic processes, integrating lean philosophy with smart use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), agile practices and technology to unlock flows and drive management in services.
The program is ideal for professionals who want to act as change agents in their areas. It is designed for leaders, product managers and customer service coordinators; back-office managers (HR, Finance, Procurement, Logistics and Retail); IT/Digital directors, innovation leaders and agile teams (such as Product Owners and Scrum Masters); as well as hospital managers and clinical coordinators.
No. Although healthcare and the patient journey are widely covered (and are even the focus of an optional Advanced Certification), the program addresses the same inefficient-flow challenges found in any service sector. The methodology applies fully to retail, logistics, banking, digital areas and the entire corporate scope.
Yes, absolutely. The program strongly addresses the concept of lean office, designed to optimize processes in departments such as Finance, Human Resources, Procurement and Administration. The goal is precisely to eliminate excessive bureaucracy, operational bottlenecks and slow information flow that affect the company's support and back-office work.
Yes. Unlike traditional approaches, the curriculum includes Module 5: Data Intelligence, AI and Evidence-Driven Operations. You'll learn how to automate business processes, apply Artificial Intelligence to data analysis for fast decision-making and use technology and agile methods (Scrum/Kanban) as strategic levers, not just trends.
Yes, end to end. The course dedicates Module 2 to value stream mapping in service processes and patient/customer journeys. In addition, Module 4 (Service design and management) uses Design Thinking and agile practices specifically to design services and digital products that are fully centered on the end user, ensuring an excellent experience.
The main difference is the focus of the gemba (the workplace). While the Manufacturing cohort concentrates on shop-floor stability, the flow of physical materials, increasing OEE (machine effectiveness) and reducing setup time (SMED), the Services cohort works in environments where what flows is information and the customer. The Services content replaces manufacturing jargon with topics such as lean office, IT agility, AI, design thinking and patient/customer journeys.
Yes. The essence of the Practical Lean Training Program is that you bring a real business problem from your company to be solved. As long as it is a bottleneck focused on optimizing flows, reducing wait times in customer service, bureaucracy in financial routines or inefficiency in IT/innovation teams, it will become the subject of your final A3 Project.
Yes. From the 3rd week of the program, when you start structuring your applied project (A3), you'll receive fully individualized guidance and mentoring. A dedicated Lean Institute Brasil consultant/coach will follow your case exclusively, ensuring your project creates immediate impact in the organization.
Yes. The program teaches you to create operational stability and safety (clinical or corporate) using the A3 Method and Daily Management. As proof, projects applied by participants in previous editions achieved 15% to 25% reductions in rework and maintenance costs, as well as a 30% to 50% decrease in process failures (operational or care-related), using AI and lean for preventive analysis.
Lean principles are universal. In administrative areas, we apply lean office to map the flow of information rather than physical products. This makes it possible to identify waits, redundant approvals and communication bottlenecks, radically reducing bureaucracy and speeding up response time (lead time) to the customer.
The program treats AI, data and Agile not as trends but as levers for efficiency. You'll learn how Scrum and Kanban speed up agile delivery and how to use Artificial Intelligence for data analysis and predictability, always with the pragmatic focus of continuous improvement in services.
Yes. We offer customized in-company training for companies that want to standardize their vision of continuous improvement and operational excellence in services. We use your own organization's challenges (such as service journeys, tickets or queues) as a hands-on teaching lab.
